- ARNG Leaders' Guide to Soldier Resilience Problems that Soldiers face can be detrimental not only to the readiness of the individual Soldier but, to the entire unit as well. This publication is designed to provide guidance and tools to all NCOs on what to look for, what to do, and specific resources for helping Soldiers. Consider this publication a desk reference for executing critical tasks to build resilience, manage risk reduction, and ultimately, to ensure all Soldiers in the unit are ready and resilient for every mission and everyday life.

Coaching Into Care
Coaching Into Care works with family members or friends who become aware of their Veteran’s post-deployment difficulties—and supports their efforts to find help for the Veteran. We provide: enncouragement and information about getting an evaluation and services, "coaching" with family members or friends to help motivate Veteran for evaluation/consultation and referrals to services for veterans and their family members.
- Coming Home Project The Coming Home Project is a non-profit organization devoted to providing compassionate expert care, support, education, and stress management tools for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, service members, their families, and their service providers. We are a multidisciplinary, experienced team of psychotherapists, veterans and interfaith leaders committed to helping transform the wounds of war.

DCoE 24/7 Outreach Center is a trusted source of information on psychological health and traumatic brain injury issues and resources, responding to your specific questions and needs. If we can’t answer your question, we will be sure to connect you to someone that can—whether it’s within the Department of Defense, other federal agencies or a civilian/community organization.
- Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) The mission of the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC) is to serve active duty military, their beneficiaries, and veterans with traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) through state-of-the-art clinical care, innovative clinical research initiatives and educational programs. DVBIC fulfills this mission through ongoing collaboration with military, VA and civilian health partners, local communities, families and individuals with TBI.

DoD Safe Helpline - Sexual Assault Support
Department of Defense (DoD) Safe Helpline is a groundbreaking crisis support service for members of the DoD community affected by sexual assault. Safe Helpline provides live, one-on-one advice, support, and information to the worldwide DoD community. The service is anonymous, secure, and available 24/7 — providing victims with the help they need, anytime, anywhere. Specially-trained Safe Helpline staff provide help three ways: Online, Telephone: 877-995-5247, SMS/Text is for users to text their location to 55247 inside the United States or 202-470-5546 outside of the United States.
- DStress 1-877-476-7734 From the everyday stressors of life to the stressors related to combat, stress can affect even the strongest Marine. The DSTRESS Line was developed by the Corps to provide professional, anonymous counseling for Marines, attached Sailors, and families when it's needed most. Call today to speak with one of your own.
- FOCUS (Families OverComing Under Stress) FOCUS provides resiliency training to military families. It teaches practical skills to meet the challenges of deployment and reintegration, to communicate and solve problems effectively, and to successfully set goals together and create a shared family story.
- Give an Hour Give an Hour™ is a nonprofit organization providing free mental health services to U.S. miliary personnel and families affected by the ongoing conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. We provide counseling to individuals, couples and families, children and adolescents. We offer treatment for anxiety, depression, substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injuries, sexual health and intimacy concerns, loss and grieving.
- Grace After Fire A place for women veterans, and their loved ones, to connect with one another and with our professional partners, to find resources, to learn and to get involved.
- Harvesting Happiness for Heroes Provide support services to Warriors and Warrior families challenged by Combat Trauma and post-deployment reintegration issues. Battle Buddy workshops, family awareness training, online community support, one-on-one coaching services, as well as retreats for Warriors to decompress from battle and understand the tools available for them to adapt their military skills to civilian society.

HOOAH 4 HEALTH focuses on the promotion of health in the areas of Body, Mind, Spirit, and Environment. There is also a wealth of information on health during the Deployment Cycle.
- Lotsa Helping Hands Community members support military families who feel alone when a spouse and/or parent is deployed. Others use the service to coordinate daily activities and events among families living on a military base, or help the families of wounded soldiers returning home.
- Make The Connection - Shared Experiences and Support For Veterans Dept. of Veteran Affairs sponsored one-stop resource where Veterans and their families and friends can privately explore information about physical and mental health symptoms, challenging life events, and mental health conditions. On this site, Veterans and their families and friends can learn about available resources and support.

Military OneSource is provided by the Department of Defense at no cost to active duty, Guard and Reserve (regardless of activation status) and their families. It is a virtual extension of installation services. - Military Pathways To help those who may be struggling, the Department of Defense teamed up with the nonprofit organization, Screening for Mental Health®, to launch Military Pathways (formerly the Mental Health Self-Assessment Program®). The program is available online, over the phone, and at special events held at installations worldwide. It provides free, anonymous mental health and alcohol self-assessments for family members and service personnel in all branches including the National Guard and Reserve. The self-assessments are a series of questions that, when linked together, help create a picture of how an individual is feeling and whether they could benefit from talking to a health professional.

- National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) NAMI is proud to provide resources for everyone touched by military service. - National Center for PTSD The National Center for PTSD (NCPTSD) aims to advance the clinical care and social welfare of U.S. Veterans through research, education and training on PTSD and stress-related disorders.

New Jersey Veterans Helpline

Immediate assistance 24/7 to Veterans suffering from psychological or emotional distress as well as those having difficulty re-assimilating back into civilian life following the conclusion of their mobilization for active duty service. All hotline services can be utilized by Veterans and their family members as little or as often as necessary and are free and confidential.
- Not Alone Not Alone started in 2008 when a group of warriors and professionals discovered a significant gap in the government's capacity to help warriors and their families come home from war. There needed to be a confidential online community where those warriors could congregate to help each other. Our personal experiences with war trauma led us to reach out to those that need help.
- One Freedom ONE Freedom provides education on the brain and body’s natural response to stress, training on how to self-regulate intense life experiences, and resources for developing a powerful road map of self-mastery. Backed by science, research and extensive experience, ONE Freedom offers audiences effective methods and simple life skills that promote strength through balanced living.
- Operation Healthy Reunions Mental Health America is proud to champion Operation Healthy Reunions, a first-of-its-kind program that provides education and helps to bust the stigma of mental health issues among soldiers, their families, and medical staff to ensure that a greater number of military families receive the prompt and high-quality care they deserve. In partnership with the leading military organizations, Mental Health America distributes educational materials on such topics as reuniting with your spouse and children, adjusting after war, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
- Operation Military Family Stronger Families, formerly Families NW, has been a leader in the marriage movement for over 15 years, having been recognized for dropping divorce rates, helping establish community marriage initiatives, and rallying communities around strengthening relationships. Now a division of Stronger Families, Operation Military Family delivers "Oxygen for Your Relationship" workshops and seminars to military service members and family members with the help and expertise of the staff at Stronger Families.
- Power of Two Live Online Marriage Skills workshops Power of Two Online Marriage Skills resources are a practical way to gain tools for more effective communication, decision making, anger management and intimacy building. These classes are for couples who want to strengthen their ability to remain a team and also for those who are struggling and and want a practical, private way to work on their relationship. Workshops can be done alone while a spouse is deployed or together pre or post-deployment. Soldier On
Our work begins with getting homeless veterans off the streets. Our mission at Solider On is to offer a continuum of care that includes immediate and long-term housing, treatment and recovery for addiction, food, and clothing, as well as medical, counseling and job-related services.
- Special Operations Warrior Foundation The Special Operations Warrior Foundation provides full scholarship grants and educational and family counseling to the surviving children of special operations personnel who die in operational or training missions and immediate financial assistance to severely wounded special operations personnel and their families.

The DOCs - A Graphic Novel That Helps With Stress
The Naval Health Research Center has produced a 200-page graphic novel called "The Docs" as a communication tool to help Navy Corpsmen with the stresses of combat deployments. The graphic novel portrays four expeditionary Corpsmen from both active duty and Reserve components, who are deployed with Marine Corps and seabee units and are serving in Iraq at the height of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
- The Soldiers Project We are a group of licensed mental health professionals who offer free psychological treatment to military service members (active duty, National Guard, Reserves and veterans) who have served or who expect to serve in the conflicts in Iraq or Afghanistan. We also provide treatment to members of their families and other loved ones. Treatment is conducted in our private offices.
- Time to Talk Designed specifically for military parents of tweens and teens, this kit provides ideas on how to start the conversation about drugs and alcohol, scripts to help you find the right words, and tips for answering tough questions and getting support from other adults around you.
- Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) TAPS provides ongoing emotional help, hope, and healing to all who are grieving the death of a loved one in military service to America, regardless of relationship to the deceased, geography, or circumstance of the death. TAPS meets its mission by providing peer-based support, crisis care, casualty casework assistance, and grief and trauma resources.
- TRICARE Assistance Program (TRIAP) This demonstration project will expand access to existing behavioral health services by using audiovisual telecommunications systems such as video chat and instant messaging to access existing behavioral health centers in your region. It also expands access to the behavioral health call centers and counseling services for eligible beneficiaries.
- TRICARE Mental Health Resource Center TRICARE covers mental health/behavioral health care that is medically or psychologically necessary for treatment of a behavioral health disorder.

TRICARE Telemental Health
As part of the Telemedicine benefit, your regional contractor will use medically-supervised, secure audio-visual conferencing to link you with offsite providers to provide Telemental Health Care services.

At our facilities veterans progress through a seamless continuum of services designed to help them increase their level of responsibility and prepare them to live independently in the community.
- VA - Mobile App: PTSD Coach Together with professional medical treatment, PTSD Coach provides you dependable resources you can trust. If you have, or think you might have PTSD, this app is for you. Family and friends can also learn from this app. PTSD Coach was created by the VA's National Center for PTSD and the DoD's National Center for Telehealth and Technology.
- VA Mental Health Home Page The Office of Mental Health Services mission is to maintain and improve the health and well-being of veterans through excellence in health care, social services, education, and research.
- Vet Center Combat Call Center 1-877-WAR-VETS is an around the clock confidential call center where combat Veterans and their families can call to talk about their military experience or any other issue they are facing in their readjustment to civilian life. The staff is comprised of combat Veterans from several eras as well as families members of combat Veterans. This benefit is prepaid through the Veteran’s military service.
- Vet Centers Vet Centers provide readjustment counseling and outreach services to all veterans who served in any combat zone. Services are also available for their family members for military related issues. Veterans have earned these benefits through their service and all are provided at no cost to the veteran or family.

- WarWithin.org The Citizen Soldier Support Program (CSSP) is working to connect servicemembers and their families to primary health care and behavioral health providers trained to address issues that affect military members and the people who support our Nation's troops before, during, and after deployment.
- Welcome Back Veterans Welcome Back Veterans (WBV) was created to inspire Americans to give back to our returning veterans and their families. These heroes were there when we needed them--they served us all and kept us safe--and it's our turn to be there for them. WBV is committed to transforming the lives of our returning veterans by changing the way people think and talk about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) while providing ongoing treatment for veterans and their families in addition to funding research.
